FEBRUARY RESULTS
- Four big races on the 4th.
- 1) The Betsudai Marathon in Kyushu, where Gildas Tuffin went sub-3 with a 2:59:48.
- 2) The Kanagawa Half Marathon hosted a large crowd of Nambanners: Rie Onodera 1:31:39, Glenn Rubin 1:44:31 (PB), Jay Johannesen, Tim Barnstable, Steve Karnas, Takeshi Koide, Daniel Cason, Faith Geraghty, Yuri Kambara, Meeks Kume.
- 3) The Chiba X-Run Cross Country (organized by Daigo Asada) — a Namban team of Bob Johnston, Andrew Dought, Yasuo Hayakawa, Hamil Bhulla and Alex Marivoet enjoyed the nice weather in Chiba. Naoko-san and Chiba-san were on hand to cheer.
- 4) The Sakae Half Marathon, where Harrisson Uk cruised to a 1:16:59 (PB) and Derek Leong managed a 1:24:36. Celine Bouny ran the 10K.
- The grand old lady of Tokyo races, the Ome Marathon (30K) was held on the 18th. Terry Minegishi 2:20:40, Rika Homma 2:24:18, Yasuo Hayakawa 2:31:37, Sumie Kawakami 2:44, Tom Boatman 2:49, Seungi Hong 3:14:19 and Marcus Kosins.
- At the Kix Senshu Marathon, Harrisson Uk ran 2:43:34 (missed PB by 42 seconds).
- The Fukaya Half was held as usual on the same day (28th) as the marathon. Mike Trees ran the 5K in 16:30 and visitors Maud Schmidt from The Netherlands and Derek Clark from the UK ran the Half.
- And down in Melbourne, Chris Winter placed 3rd in the Warburton 5K.
