Namban Rengo was out in force on January 26th at this popular race held around the new National Stadium in Sendagaya. It was rainy and very cold at the start of the Half, but the weather improved for the 10K. Yuki Fukushima led our runners in the Half with a 1:23:07, and Ayano Onodera ran a PB of 1:48:52. Satohi Numasawa, Yukari Oimatsu, Yuka Rayner and Shinobu Shikauchi also ran, so five out of six were women, which shows which gender is the toughest in this club. There were also three PBs in the 10k: Tony Collins with an excellent 37:17 that earned him 1st in his age group and 54th overall, Faith Geraghty with a 40:54 for 2nd in her AG and 11th female, and Andy Drought in 39mins. Yasuo Hayakawa (45:27) and Glenn Rubin were also in the 10K. After the race, they all enjoyed a nice lunch arranged by Satohi.
