June 2021 Race Results

• Moeka Nakamura ran the Sainokuni 5K on the 5th in 23:49, placing 2nd overall in the female category. First race in a long time!

• 2019 Namban Rengo Runner of the Year Yuta Suda was a busy man on the 19th. He ran 5K in 16:39 at the Shingashigawa Ukima Parkrun at 8:20. Then jogged to the Itabashi Monthly challenge and ran 1K in 3:08 at 9:15, then 5K in 16:27 at 9:30 (I guess he finally got warmed up), then finished up with a half marathon in 1:17:55 at 10:20. Then I hope he went home and had a nap!

• Three Nambanners braved the heat (29°C) at the Eco Marathon on the Tamagawa on the 20th. Ken Pechter 48:18, Yasuo Hayakawa 50:37 and Marc Fuoti 58:47.

• 7 Namban runners were in hot and humid Komazawa Park on the 27th for the MxK distance challenge. In the 5000 were Mike Trees 17:12, Marco Pellegrini 17:24, Nick Coyle 19:13, Rie Onodera 19:50 and Rieko Trees 21:20. In the 1500 were Yuki Fukushima 4:32 and Satohi Numasawa 6:03.

• Across the world in England, Tony Collins completed the Milton Keynes Marathon in the impressive time of 3:12:43.

• Yuta Suda was also back in action on the 27th, running the 3000 and 5000 at the Maruo Cup in 9:26 and 16:00.
