• Not too many races in August due to the heat, but there are a few. One was the Kita-ku Akabane Marathon, where Yuta Suda WON the Half in in 1:24, in blistering heat, and Sylvain Dufros managed 21:15 in the 5K.
• Kota Torii ran a 3000m track race in Adachi Ward, finishing in 10:26—3:28/km, pretty good.
• The Hokkaido Marathon was on the 25th, with terrible weather: rain the first half, hot sun and high humidity the second half. Even so, Yuta Suda ran a great 2:33:17. Carter Tunstall had a tough time, but finished with a smile.
And Alan Cannon traveled to Vietnam to represent Namban Rengo at the Danang Half Marathon. He represented us very well, finishing 21st out of 2,237 with a time of 1:35:01. Well done!
